Side Piece, Untold Stories

On May 19th, 2018, "Side Piece, Untold Stories" debuted on stage at the Philadelphia Clef Club in the Blue Note Theater with two sold out shows.

"Side Piece, Untold Stories" is a collection of selected monologues based on short stories taken from the soon to be released book of the same title. This collection presents stories of infidelity, secrets and lies was inspired by true events.

This collection reads like an adult version of story time minus the "happily ever after."

The stories represent a diverse group of women, some of who were in long-term relationships with married men. Some fully aware, while others found themselves trapped in a web of lies, lust and love.

Cheating is everywhere. We see it on television. There are entire TV series based around the other woman. Not a day goes by without a cheating scandal in the news. We read it in books and see it in movies. Most, if not all people at one time or another, have had a personal experience with cheating and infidelity.

In the age of easily accessible websites, cell phones and apps like Tinder, cheating is easier than ever! This time of easy access is literally changing the way relationships work. Cheating and side pieces are becoming the new normal.

The rules of monogamy are simple and universal. You are supposed to stay sexually, physically and emotionally faithful to one person. As these stories demonstrate, the rules are often broken.

Side Pieces, "You know one, you had one or you been one!"
